Давно это было, где-то в самом конце прошлого тысячелетия. Еду я в машине, и как-то возникает эта песня; возникает сама по себе; не помню, чтобы кто-нибудь специально ее ставил. Она как раз тогда только что вышла - наверное, по радио.
Она зазвучала, дошло до припева - и вдруг горизонт раздвинулся; такой музыки я еще никогда не слышал: как будто из сухой пустыни неизвестного мира поют мне о чувствах, у которых нет человеческого названия. И ритмика, и силища, и красота этой песни захватывали и не отпускали.
Так в мою жизнь вошли Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Конечно, я слышал о них и раньше. К моменту выхода альбома "Californication" группу Red Hot Chili Peppers сложно было бы назвать новым и молодым коллективом.
Они образовались еще в 1983 году, когда еще учились в школе. They were formed back in 1983, when they were still in school.
