Церемония ключей (Ceremony of the Keys) проходит в Тауэре на протяжении последних 700 лет. Ежедневно в 21.53 Хранитель ключей, одетый в одежду времен династии Тюдоров, выходит из башни Byward. Навстречу ему идет Охрана ключей, одетая в форму бифитеров (служителей Тауэра).Охранники проходят мимо основных ворот и запирают их. Когда они наконец приходят под арку Кровавой Башни (Bloody Tower), постовой останавливает их словами: - Стой, кто идет?
- Ключи, – отвечает Охрана ключей.
- Чьи ключи?
- Ключи королевы Елизаветы.
- Проходите, ключи королевы Елизаветы. Всё спокойно.
Охрана проходит через арку, Хранитель ключей снимает шляпу и произносит:
- Боже, храни королеву Елизавету.
Все отвечают:
- Аминь.
Затем все проходят через последний пост, после чего ключи относят в резиденцию управляющего тауэром, где их хранят по ночам.

The Ceremony of the Keys has been held at the Tower for the past 700 years. Every day at 21.53, the Keeper of the Keys, dressed in clothing from the time of the Tudor Dynasty, leaves the Byward Tower.
