Они не стреляли. Был профиль иной.Но все равно поднимались в бой,
Хоть даже и руку не клали на пистолет.
Тысячи снимков из года в год.
Засняли атаку и даже отход,
Имея в запасе лишь пленку да пару кассет.
Оружием был у них не автомат,
Не пулемет и не пара гранат,
А кинокамера, "Лейка" или же "ФЭД",
А также мечта - заснять в боях то,
Чего до них не видел никто
И ради мечты не жалели они своих лет.
Мечтали заснять рукопашный бой,
Захват "языка", но увы – ни одной
Нет пленки такой и нету ничьей тут вины.
Просто чтоб кадр такой получить
Надо в бою бессмертным быть.
Ну а живые такими быть не могли.
Они умирали в Варшавском дыму,
В Берлине и в Праге, на Ладожском льду,
Но кадры их хроники - вечная память о них.
И пусть они за кадром всегда,
Но памятник ими создан в века
О доблести, трудностях, павших и о живых.

But the monument was created by them in the centuries
About valor, hardships, the fallen and the living.
