Созвездие Змеи, звезда Унук-Эльхайя,
В далёком будущем полёт.
И наша экспедиция земная,
Вдруг встретила чужой там звездолёт.
И командир сказал, включив локатор, кратко:
"Идем на торможение, друзья!
И разгадаем мы твою загадку,
Таинственная звёздная Змея".
Где же, где же вы, братья?
Где же, где же вы, братья,
Люди, люди, иной земли?
В звездной дали прозрачной,
В черной пустыне мрачной
Встретятся наши корабли!
И вот их звездолет на наших на экранах.
Мы братьев ждали миллионы лет.
Но мы еще не знали, что радоваться рано
И что контакта не было и нет.
Они нам показали, какая там природа,
И пейзажи рек, морей и гор...
Но горю не помочь: ведь вместо кислорода
На их планете ядовитый фтор.
Где же, где же вы, братья?
Где же, где же вы, братья,
Люди, люди, иной земли?
В звездной дали прозрачной,
В черной пустыне мрачной
Встретились наши корабли!
Похожи очень мы, и нам до слез обидно:
Ведь не обнять нам их и не пожать руки.
Нашли мы братьев здесь и потеряли, видно,
В пучине звездной, бешеной реки.
Но верим мы в судьбу того народа -
Они сумеют избежать беды.
И мы прорвем барьер, что нам дала природа,
Нас снова встреча ждет у той звезды.

In the black gloomy desert
Meet our ships!
And here is their spaceship on ours on the screens.
We have been waiting for brothers for millions of years.
But we still did not know that it was too early to rejoice
And that there was no contact and no.
They showed us what nature is there,
And the landscapes of rivers, seas and mountains ...
But grief does not help: after all, instead of oxygen
On their planet, poisonous fluoride.
