Мой дед был честный лесоруб,Но не имел достатка.
Поскольку в чащу леса он,
Могучий как подгорный гном,
С громадным острым топором,
Не мог зайти без страха.
Но как же быть?
Как нищим жить?
Семью кормить?
В трактир ходить?
И на опушке как-то раз,
С небес раздался громкий глас:
Без страха глубже в лес иди,
Минуй овраги, бурелом,
Там ты найдешь все то чего,
Безбедным сделает твой дом.
Мой дед послушал голос тот,
И в чащу леса ринул,
Прошел овраг и бурелом,
Уставший вдруг увидел он
Из злата дуб, поросший мхом
И с плеч топор свой скинул.
Он дуб срубил.
Домой стащил.
Его продал,
Богатым стал.
И благодарен всякий раз,
Что с неба молвил громкий глас:
Без страха глубже в лес иди,
Минуй овраги, бурелом,
Там ты найдешь все то чего,
Безбедным сделает твой дом.
Мой дед с тех пор в достатке жил,
Твердил лишь ежедневно,
Чтоб я без страха в лес ходил,
Топор острее что б точил,
Всегда готов к работе был.
И будет жизнь безбедна.
Дрова руби,
Домой носи,
Семью корми,
В трактир ходи!
И лишь невзгод наступит час,
Я тут же слышу деда глас:
Без страха глубже в лес иди,
Минуй овраги, бурелом,
Там ты найдешь все то чего,
Безбедным сделает твой дом.

With a huge sharp ax
I could not go without fear.

A loud voice came from heaven:

My grandfather listened to the voice
And rushed into the thicket of the forest
Passed a ravine and a windbreak,
Tired he suddenly saw
From gold oak, overgrown with moss
And he took off his ax from his shoulders.
He cut down the oak.
Sneaked home.
He sold it,
He became rich.
And thankful every time
What a loud voice said from heaven:
Without fear go deeper into the forest
Pass the ravines by the windbreak
There you will find all that
Your home will be comfortable.
My grandfather has since lived in abundance
Told only daily
So that I go into the forest without fear
The ax sharpened what would sharpen,
Always ready to go.
And life will be comfortable.
Chop wood,
Wear it home
Family feed
Go to the tavern!
And only adversity will come
I immediately hear my grandfather's voice:
