Сегодня ты познакомишься с новой сказкой. Родина ее – Франция – страна древней культуры и поэзии. Сказки Франции известны всеми миру. И ты, наверное, давно знаешь простодушную Красную Шапочку и ловкого Кота в сапогах, наблюдательного и смелого Малчика-с-пальчик, таинственного злодея Синюю Бороду, прекрасную Спящую красавицу и трудолюбивую Золушку, добрую ко всем на свете. Сказки про них всех сочинил замечательный сказочник Шарль Перро. А сколько народных сказок хранит Франция, и не пересчитать! Их сочинил не один человек, а много людей – один придумал, другой подправил, а третий пересказал по-своему. Сказки эти самые разные, как цветы на лугу: и про животных, очень похожих на людей, думающих и поступающих как люди, и про людей, которые по воле сказки часто превращаются в разных животных. И все эти сказки, о чем бы в них не говорилось, рассказывают нам о своей родине – Франции – о ее истории и людях, природе и животных. Природа Франции очень разнообразна: на севере страны, в Бретани и Нормандии, ветры и туманы. Говорят, что там даже нельзя раскрывать зонтиков, ветер может поднять вас и унести в Атлантический океан. На юге страны, в Провансе, светит жаркое солнце, там леса и плодородные долины, виноградники и оливковые рощи. В садах белые домики с черепичными крышами, веселые и приветливые. На побережье Средиземного моря, омывающего Францию с юга, растут апельсины и лимоны, миндаль и виноград. В Шампани, на северо-востоке страны, такие замечательные леса, что их долгие годы считали волшебными. На зеленых лесистых холмах стоят старинные замки, окруженные высокими стенами и глубокими рвами. Народная фантазия населила эти замки великанами, вроде того, которого одолел Кот в сапогах, или волшебниками, которые часто вмешивались в жизнь людей и приносили им много зла.
Действие сказки, которую ты сейчас услышишь, тоже происходит в таком замке, хотя начинается эта история в домике бедняка. Да и на самом деле богатые замки часто соседствовали во Франции с маленькими домиками бедных крестьян. Так вот, в Замке, о котором пойдет речь, жил могучий и злой чародей. Что произошло с этим волшебником и, главное, с героем сказки Пьером, ты сейчас услышишь. Только сиди спокойно и слушай внимательно, тогда сказка откроет тебе все свои тайны. Постарайся понять, чему она хочет научить тебя. Если ты поверишь сказке и будешь хорошо учиться, книги откроют тебе много интересных и волшебных вещей. И помни французскую пословицу: «Не важно, сколько знаешь, важно – как знаешь!»

Today you will meet a new fairy tale. Her native land - France - is a country of ancient culture and poetry. Tales of France are known to all the world. And you probably have long known the innocent Little Red Riding Hood and the dexterous Cat in boots, the observant and bold Little-finger-toed boy, the mysterious villain Bluebeard, the beautiful Sleeping Beauty and the hardworking Cinderella, kind to everyone in the world. Tales about all of them were composed by the wonderful storyteller Charles Perrault. And how many folk tales are kept by France, and not counted! They were composed not by one person, but by many people - one invented, the other corrected, and the third retold in his own way. These tales are very different, like flowers in a meadow: about animals very similar to people who think and act like people, and about people who, by the will of a fairy tale, often turn into different animals. And all these tales, whatever they say, tell us about their homeland - France - about its history and people, nature and animals. The nature of France is very diverse: in the north of the country, in Brittany and Normandy, winds and fogs. They say that you can’t even open umbrellas there, the wind can lift you and carry you to the Atlantic Ocean. In the south of the country, in Provence, the hot sun shines, there are forests and fertile valleys, vineyards and olive groves. The gardens have white houses with tiled roofs, funny and welcoming. On the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, washing France from the south, oranges and lemons, almonds and grapes grow. In Champagne, in the north-east of the country, there are such wonderful forests that they were considered magical for many years. On green wooded hills are ancient castles surrounded by high walls and deep moats. Folk fantasy populated these castles with giants, like the one that Puss overcame in boots, or wizards who often intervened in people's lives and brought them a lot of evil.
The action of the tale that you will hear now also takes place in such a castle, although this story begins in the house of the poor. In fact, rich castles often coexisted in France with small houses of poor peasants. So, in the Castle, which will be discussed, there lived a powerful and evil sorcerer. What happened to this wizard and, most importantly, with the hero of the fairy tale Pierre, you will hear now. Just sit still and listen carefully, then the fairy tale will reveal all its secrets to you. Try to understand what she wants to teach you. If you believe a fairy tale and study well, books will reveal many interesting and magical things to you. And remember the French proverb: "It doesn’t matter how much you know, it matters how you know!"
