Arcade Fire — канадская рок-группа, образованная дуэтом Уин Батлер и Риджин Шассен в 2003 году в Монреале, Квебек, и исполняющая экспериментальный альтернативный рок с элементами арт-рока и пост-панка. Используя, наряду с традиционными инструментами, аккордеон, арфу и струнные, группа практикует концерты-хэппенинги, в ходе которых импровизирует, временами выводя тысячные толпы зрителей на улицы и в парки.Оба альбома группы удостаивались высоких оценок критики. Дебютный Funeral (2004) занял первое место в списке MTV2 50 Greatest Albums of the Year и получил 2 номинации Grammy. Второй, Neon Bible (2007) возглавил альбомные списки Канады и Ирландии, в США и Великобритании поднялся до 2-го места и вышел на 1-е место в списке Лучших альбомов 2007 года журнала Q Magazine. В 2008 году альбом был номинирован на Brit Awards и стал лауреатом Juno Awards в номинации Best Alternative Album of the Year.

Arcade Fire is a Canadian rock band formed by the duo Win Butler and Regine Chassin in 2003 in Montreal, Quebec, and performing experimental alternative rock with elements of art rock and post-punk. Using, along with traditional instruments, an accordion, harp and strings, the group practices happening concerts, during which it improvises, sometimes bringing thousands of spectators to the streets and parks.Both albums were highly praised. The debut Funeral (2004) won first place on the MTV2 50 Greatest Albums of the Year list and received 2 Grammy nominations. The second, Neon Bible (2007) topped the album lists of Canada and Ireland, in the USA and Great Britain rose to the 2nd place and came out on the 1st place in the list of Best Albums of 2007 by Q Magazine. In 2008, the album was nominated for the Brit Awards and became the winner of the Juno Awards in the Best Alternative Album of the Year nomination.
