Иисус, продолжая говорить им притчами, сказал:Царство Небесное подобно человеку царю, который сделал брачный пир для сына своего
и послал рабов своих звать званых на брачный пир; и не хотели придти.
Опять послал других рабов, сказав: скажите званым: вот, я приготовил обед мой, тельцы мои и что откормлено, заколото, и все готово; приходите на брачный пир.
Но они, пренебрегши то, пошли, кто на поле свое, а кто на торговлю свою;
прочие же, схватив рабов его, оскорбили и убили их.
Услышав о сем, царь разгневался, и, послав войска свои, истребил убийц оных и сжег город их.
Тогда говорит он рабам своим: брачный пир готов, а званые не были достойны;
итак пойдите на распутия и всех, кого найдете, зовите на брачный пир.
И рабы те, выйдя на дороги, собрали всех, кого только нашли, и злых и добрых; и брачный пир наполнился возлежащими.
Царь, войдя посмотреть возлежащих, увидел там человека, одетого не в брачную одежду,
и говорит ему: друг! как ты вошел сюда не в брачной одежде? Он же молчал.
Тогда сказал царь слугам: связав ему руки и ноги, возьмите его и бросьте во тьму внешнюю; там будет плач и скрежет зубов;
ибо много званых, а мало избранных.
Тогда фарисеи пошли и совещались, как бы уловить Его в словах.
И посылают к Нему учеников своих с иродианами, говоря: Учитель! мы знаем, что Ты справедлив, и истинно пути Божию учишь, и не заботишься об угождении кому-либо, ибо не смотришь ни на какое лице;
итак скажи нам: как Тебе кажется? позволительно ли давать подать кесарю, или нет?
Но Иисус, видя лукавство их, сказал: что искушаете Меня, лицемеры?
покажите Мне монету, которою платится подать. Они принесли Ему динарий.
И говорит им: чье это изображение и надпись?
Говорят Ему: кесаревы. Тогда говорит им: итак отдавайте кесарево кесарю, а Божие Богу.
Услышав это, они удивились и, оставив Его, ушли.
В тот день приступили к Нему саддукеи, которые говорят, что нет воскресения, и спросили Его:
Учитель! Моисей сказал: если кто умрет, не имея детей, то брат его пусть возьмет за себя жену его и восстановит семя брату своему;
было у нас семь братьев; первый, женившись, умер и, не имея детей, оставил жену свою брату своему;
подобно и второй, и третий, даже до седьмого;
после же всех умерла и жена;
итак, в воскресении, которого из семи будет она женою? ибо все имели ее.
Иисус сказал им в ответ: заблуждаетесь, не зная Писаний, ни силы Божией,
ибо в воскресении ни женятся, ни выходят замуж, но пребывают, как Ангелы Божии на небесах.
А о воскресении мертвых не читали ли вы реченного вам Богом:
Я Бог Авраама, и Бог Исаака, и Бог Иакова? Бог не есть Бог мертвых, но живых.
И, слыша, народ дивился учению Его.
А фарисеи, услышав, что Он привел саддукеев в молчание, собрались вместе.
И один из них, законник, искушая Его, спросил, говоря:
Учитель! какая наибольшая заповедь в законе?
Иисус сказал ему: возлюби Господа Бога твоего всем сердцем твоим и всею душею твоею и всем разумением твоим:
сия есть первая и наибольшая заповедь;
вторая же подобная ей: возлюби ближнего твоего, как самого себя;
на сих двух заповедях утверждается весь закон и пророки.
Когда же собрались фарисеи, Иисус спросил их:
что вы думаете о Христе? чей Он сын? Говорят Ему: Давидов.
Говорит им: как же Давид, по вдохновению, называет Его Господом, когда говорит:
сказал Господь Господу моему: седи одесную Меня, доколе положу врагов Твоих в подножие ног Твоих?
Итак, если Давид называет Его Господом, как же Он сын ему?
И никто не мог отвечать Ему ни слова; и с того дня никто уже не смел спрашивать Его.

Jesus, continuing to speak to them in parables, said:The kingdom of heaven is like a man king, who made a wedding feast for his son
and he sent his servants to call those invited to the wedding feast; and didn’t want to come.
Again he sent other slaves, saying: Tell those called: “Behold, I have prepared my dinner, my calves, and that which is fattened, stabbed, and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.
But they, having neglected that, went, who on their field, and who on their trade;
the rest, capturing his slaves, insulted and killed them.
Hearing about this, the king was angry, and having sent his troops, he destroyed the murderers thereof and burned their city.
Then he says to his servants: the wedding feast is ready, and those called are not worthy;
so go to the debauchery, and everyone you find, call on the wedding feast.
And those slaves, going out on the roads, gathered all whom they only found, both evil and good; and the marriage feast was filled with those that were at the same time.
The king, going in to see the reclining, saw a man there, not dressed in wedding clothes,
and said to him: friend! how did you come here not in wedding clothes? He was silent.
Then the king said to the servants: Having bound his hands and feet, take him and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth;
for many are called, but few are chosen.
Then the Pharisees went and conferred, as if to catch Him in words.
And they send their disciples to him with the Herodians, saying: Teacher! we know that You are fair, and truly teach the ways of God, and do not care about pleasing anyone, because you do not look at any face;
so tell us: how do you think? Is Caesar allowed to give, or not?
But Jesus, seeing their craftiness, said: Why are you tempting me, hypocrites?
show me the coin to be paid. They brought him a denarius.
And he said to them: whose image and inscription is this?
They say to him: Caesar's. Then he said to them: So give Caesar to Caesar, and God to God.
Hearing this, they were surprised and, leaving Him, they left.
That day the Sadducees approached Him, who say that there is no resurrection, and asked Him:
Teacher! Moses said: if anyone dies without children, then let his brother take his wife for himself and restore the seed to his brother;
we had seven brothers; the first, having married, died, and having no children, left his wife to his brother;
like the second and the third, even before the seventh;
after all, the wife also died;
therefore, in the resurrection, of which of the seven she shall be a wife? for all had her.
Jesus answered them: You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God,
for in resurrection they neither marry nor marry, but abide as the angels of God in heaven.
And about the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God has spoken to you:
Am I the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but the living.
And hearing, the people marveled at His doctrine.
And the Pharisees, hearing that He brought the Sadducees in silence, gathered together.
And one of them, the legalist, tempting Him, asked, saying:
Teacher! what is the greatest commandment in the law?
Jesus said to him: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind:
This is the first and greatest commandment;
the second is like her: love your neighbor as yourself;
these two commandments affirm the whole law and the prophets.
When the Pharisees gathered, Jesus asked them:
What do you think of Christ? whose son is he? They say to him: Davidov.
He tells them: how David, by inspiration, calls Him Lord when he says:
The Lord said to my Lord: Sit on my right hand, how long will I lay your enemies at the foot of your feet?
So, if David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?
And no one could answer him a word; and from that day no one dared to ask Him.
