Учение Асафа. Для чего, Боже, отринул нас навсегда? возгорелся гнев Твой на овец пажити Твоей?Вспомни сонм Твой, который Ты стяжал издревле, искупил в жезл достояния Твоего, эту гору Сион, на которой Ты веселился.
Подвигни стопы Твои к вековым развалинам: все разрушил враг во святилище.
Рыкают враги Твои среди собраний Твоих; поставили знаки свои вместо знамений наших;
показывали себя подобными поднимающему вверх секиру на сплетшиеся ветви дерева;
и ныне все резьбы в нем в один раз разрушили секирами и бердышами;
предали огню святилище Твое; совсем осквернили жилище имени Твоего;
сказали в сердце своем: разорим их совсем, и сожгли все места собраний Божиих на земле.
Знамений наших мы не видим, нет уже пророка, и нет с нами, кто знал бы, доколе это будет.
Доколе, Боже, будет поносить враг? вечно ли будет хулить противник имя Твое?
Для чего отклоняешь руку Твою и десницу Твою? Из среды недра Твоего порази их.
Боже, Царь мой от века, устрояющий спасение посреди земли!
Ты расторг силою Твоею море, Ты сокрушил головы змиев в воде;
Ты сокрушил голову левиафана, отдал его в пищу людям пустыни.
Ты иссек источник и поток, Ты иссушил сильные реки.
Твой день и Твоя ночь: Ты уготовал светила и солнце;
Ты установил все пределы земли, лето и зиму Ты учредил.
Вспомни же: враг поносит Господа, и люди безумные хулят имя Твое.
Не предай зверям душу горлицы Твоей; собрания убогих Твоих не забудь навсегда.
Призри на завет Твой; ибо наполнились все мрачные места земли жилищами насилия.
Да не возвратится угнетенный посрамленным; нищий и убогий да восхвалят имя Твое.
Восстань, Боже, защити дело Твое, вспомни вседневное поношение Твое от безумного;
не забудь крика врагов Твоих; шум восстающих против Тебя непрестанно поднимается.

Asaph's teachings. Why, God, cast us away forever? is Thy anger kindled against the sheep of Thy pasture?Remember Thy host, which You have acquired since ancient times, redeemed in the rod of Your wealth, this Mount Zion, on which You rejoiced.
Move Thy feet to the ruins of centuries: the enemy has destroyed everything in the sanctuary.
Thy enemies roar among Thy assemblies; put their signs in place of our signs;
showed themselves to be like a poleaxe lifting up on the twisted branches of a tree;
and now all the carvings in it were once destroyed with axes and bardysh;
they have given your sanctuary to fire; they have completely defiled the dwelling place of your name;
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them altogether, and they burned all the places of assembly of God on the earth.
We do not see our signs, there is no longer a prophet, and there is no one with us who would know how long it will be.
How long, God, will the enemy revile? Will the adversary blaspheme Your name forever?
Why do you reject your hand and your right hand? Strike them from the midst of Thy bosom.
God, my King from time immemorial, arranging salvation in the midst of the earth!
Thou hast dissolved the sea by Thy power, Thou hast broken the heads of serpents in the water;
You crushed the head of a leviathan, gave it to the people of the desert for food.
Thou hast cut the source and the stream, Thou hast dried up strong rivers.
Your day and Your night: You have prepared the lights and the sun;
You have established all the boundaries of the earth, you have established summer and winter.
Remember: the enemy reviles the Lord, and the foolish people blaspheme Your name.
Do not give up the soul of Thy dove to the beasts; Do not forget the gatherings of your poor ones forever.
Look at your covenant; for all the gloomy places of the earth were filled with dwellings of violence.
Let not the oppressed return ashamed; the poor and the needy, let them praise your name.
Arise, O God, defend Thy work, remember Thy daily reproach from the insane;
do not forget the cry of your enemies; the noise of those who rise up against you is constantly rising.
