Верблюд, о музыке которого я пишу - это одна из замечательных арт-роковых команд золотого периода арт-рока (70-е годы). С самого начала заметно обилие космически - сказочных клавиш (электрооргана). Та же сказочность и у гитары. И присутствие особого инструмента - флейты.
Музыка отдаленно похожа на Genesis. Похожа на песню «Watcher of the Skies» альбома «Foxtrot» (1972). Ни в коем случае не по конкретному настроению, а по тем же выразительным средствам (за исключением флейты) и самой сказочности.
Но особенностью группы является заметная бодрость ритм-секции и звучания. Группа в своей живости ритмов звучит более похоже на грандов хард-рока (Deep Purple), чем на корифеев прогрессива, таких, как Genesis, King Crimson (того же года), ELP. Это достигается за счет звонкой ритм - секции и работы гитары, причем в завершении альбома звучащей тяжело в совокупности с бас-гитарой. Бас, как и у других прог-команд того времени, играет сильную роль в музыкальном содержании. Может задать ритм, а может играть свое. В отличие от других команд, здесь часто можно услышать дуэли баса с флейтой и электрогитарой. К примеру, у Yes образца 1972, 1974 - годов я бы указал на дуэли бас-гитары с клавишными инструментами.
В инструментале «Earthrise» на бас-гитаре задается нехилый ритм, который, однако, успевает надоесть уже после 1-й минуты его звучания, ибо он не меняется. Эта песня также напоминает «Watcher of the Skies», но только более быстрая и упрощенная.
Зато все остальные песни понравились.
В завершение могу сказать, что альбом нужно еще слушать, но приятно было ознакомиться с командой.
P.S. Название группы можно перевести на русский язык буквально и без двусмыслиц. :-)

Camel, whose music I am writing about, is one of the great art rock bands of the golden age of art rock (70s). From the very beginning, an abundance of cosmically - fabulous keys (electric organ) is noticeable. The guitar has the same fabulousness. And the presence of a special instrument - the flute.
The music is vaguely similar to Genesis. Similar to the song "Watcher of the Skies" from the album "Foxtrot" (1972). In no case, not for a specific mood, but for the same expressive means (with the exception of the flute) and the fabulousness itself.
But the peculiarity of the group is the noticeable vigor of the rhythm section and sound. The band in their liveliness of rhythms sounds more like the grandees of hard rock (Deep Purple) than the luminaries of the progressive, such as Genesis, King Crimson (of the same year), ELP. This is achieved through the ringing rhythm section and guitar work, and at the end of the album sounding heavy in conjunction with the bass guitar. Bass, like other prog bands of the time, played a strong role in musical content. He can set the rhythm, or he can play his own. Unlike other bands, bass duels with flute and electric guitar can often be heard here. For example, in the Yes of 1972, 1974, I would point to the duels between bass and keyboards.
In the instrumental "Earthrise", a rather sickly rhythm is set on the bass guitar, which, however, manages to get bored after only 1 minute of its sound, because it does not change. This song also reminds of "Watcher of the Skies", but faster and simplified.
But I liked all the other songs.
In conclusion, I can say that the album still needs to be listened to, but it was nice to get to know the team.
P.S. The name of the group can be translated into Russian literally and without ambiguity. :-)
