Средь северных скал и клыкастых фьордовВоздвиг я дубовый чертог.
Над дикой равниной суровый дозорный
Трубил в изогнутый рог.
И кружки сдвигались под узорчатой кровлей.

И привкусом крови в вине.
И все, что мне надо – лишь самую малость,
Чтоб сокровища мира упали к ногам
И северным ветром наполнился парус
Дракона, что скользит по волнам!
С ликом зверя,
Да крылами птицы,
Да клыками волка -
Дух и кровь дракона!
Хладный взор химеры,
Хищный взгляд убийцы,
Полет стрелою бога,
Конунг!
Сердца огонь червонный,
Лязг клыков в оскале,
В крыльях ветра пение,
Дух и кровь дракона!
Черная корона,
Чешуя из стали,
Кровь - багрец каменьев,
Конунг!
Я встал у руля, над бездной шальной
И крикнул меж гневных зыбей:
«О буря! Покорна ты мне, предо мной
Склонится владыка морей!»
И гром не промедлил с ударом,
Потряс небеса гулкий рог!
И в сумрачном небе кровавым пожаром
Горят корабли облаков.
И море бескрайно, и море пустынно,
Простерлось, молчанье храня.
И стиснула зубы немая пучина,
Всего поглощая меня.
На дно увлекает стальная кольчуга,
Но вот, за багровой чертой,
Летящая тень над расколотым стругом
Затмила закат огневой!
В небо - в час заката,
Дух-двойник крылатый,
Брат пришел за братом,
Дух и кровь дракона!
Луч пылает ало,
Небо - путь в Вальгаллу!
След твой в небе тает,
Конунг!
И только море видело тот сон:
Крылатой черной тенью в небеса,
В огонь заката, багровеющий огонь,
Его на волю уносили два крыла.

And the thunder did not hesitate with a blow,

And in the gloomy sky with a bloody fire
Cloud ships are burning.
And the sea is endless, and the sea is deserted,
It extended, keeping silence.
And a dumb abyss gritted her teeth
Total absorbing me.
At the bottom carries steel chain,
But here, beyond the crimson line,
Flying shadow over a chopped plow
Eclipse sunset fire!
To the sky at sunset time
Winged double spirit
Brother came for brother
Dragon spirit and blood!
The beam burns alo
The sky is the way to Valhalla!
Your trace is melting in the sky

And only the sea saw that dream:
A winged black shadow to heaven
Into the fire of sunset, the crimson fire
He was carried away by two wings.
