«Walls And Bridges» был записан во время длительной разлуки Леннона и Йоко Оно.
В записи песни «Whatever Gets You thru the Night» принимал участие Элтон Джон. Он поспорил с Ленноном, что эта песня сможет занять первое место в американском хит-параде (что ранее не удавалось ни одному сольному синглу Леннона). Walls and Bridges (Rus. Walls and bridges) - the fifth solo studio album of the Beatles member John Lennon, released in 1974.
About album
“Walls And Bridges” was recorded during the lengthy separation of Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Elton John took part in the recording of the song “Whatever Gets You thru the Night”. He argued with Lennon that this song could take first place in the American hit parade (which not a single Lennon's solo single had previously been able to do). In case this would happen, Lennon was required to take part in the Elton John concert. He had to fulfill his promise, because Whatever Gets You thru the Night really managed to rise to the top of the chart. Beef Jerky is the only instrumental on Lennon's solo albums. In the song "Ya Ya", the eleven-year-old son of Lennon Julian plays drums.
