Gothic, или Готика - великая РПГ, созданная немецкой студией Piranha bytes. Вышла игра в 2001 году - для того времени это был шик игровой индустрии. Тем, кто её прошёл, игра оставила самые тёплые и приятные воспоминания в душе о незабываемой атмосфере мира "Готики".Игра повествует о безымянной герое, попавшем в так называемую Долину рудников, закрытой магическим барьером - куполом, который только впускает внутрь и не выпускает никого наружу. Эта долина славится своей магической рудой, которая так необходима для вооружения войск короля Робара II, ведь люди уже давно воюют со своими врагами - орками. Оружие и доспехи, выкованные из такой магической руды куда кречпе и прочнее, чем из обычного металла. А для добычи этой руды и бросают заключённых за барьер, чтобы они поставляли руду королевским войскам.
А раз за барьер попадают заключенные, провинившиеся даже в мелком воровстве, то Долина рудников является для всех своеобразной вечной тюрьмой, в которой существют свои законы и каждый человек должен не жить, а выживать. И то, если это посчастливится - долина кишит всяого рода опасностей - от простых зверей - падальщика, волка, Тролля, до самых опасных - людей, орков и демонов.
И вот, попав в эту Долину, герою волей-неволей приходится как-то выживать, зарабатывать себе на пропитание и первые доспехи. Отсюда и начинается эта фантастическая история о Безымянном, который...

For those who passed it, the game left the warmest and most pleasant memories in their souls about the unforgettable atmosphere of the world of "Gothic".The game tells the story of a nameless hero who got into the so-called Valley of the Mines, closed by a magical barrier - a dome that only lets in and does not let anyone out. This valley is famous for its magic ore, which is so necessary to arm the troops of King Robar II, because people have long been at war with their enemies - the orcs. Weapons and armor forged from this magical ore are much stronger and stronger than regular metal. And for the extraction of this ore, the prisoners are thrown behind the barrier so that they supply the ore to the royal troops.
And since prisoners who are guilty of even petty theft fall behind the barrier, the Valley of the Mines is for everyone a kind of eternal prison in which there are laws and each person should not live, but survive. And then, if it is lucky, the valley is teeming with all kinds of dangers - from simple animals - scavengers, wolves, Troll, to the most dangerous - people, orcs and demons.
And now, once in this Valley, the hero willy-nilly has to somehow survive, earn his own food and the first armor. This is where this fantastic story about the Nameless One begins, who ...
