Рука устала от клинка:Я шел сюда издалека,
В страну снегов и вечных льдов.
Я был остаться здесь готов,
Но белый снег слепил меня,
Мороз окутывал, пьяня,
И белый зверь хрипел мне вслед:
«Тебе сюда дороги нет!»
Станет прозрачным зеркало льда,
Выпавший снег не оставит следа.
Ведьму-метель не сожжёшь на костре,
И не грозит это вьюге-сестре.
