РыцарьСквозь тьму веков уходит рыцарь.
Из праха создан, в прах и обращён.
На вас смотрев, он не увидел лица,
И вот, издав последний стон,
Он рухнул на свои колени,
Глаза закрыл, чтоб не открыть.
И вдруг он понял, что рождён без тени
И проклят одиноким жить
И умереть, и возродиться,
И вновь, по кругу, колесом:
Из века в век всё тот же рыцарь
С обезображенным лицом,
Скривлённым судорогой смерти!
Отринь, извергни душу вон,
Прибей её гвоздями к жерди,
И пусть горит она огнём!
Из глаз сочится кровь, как слёзы,
Течёт чумою по щекам.
Сжимают руки стебель розы,
Чтоб дать вонзиться в них шипам.
Он обезличен, он повержен,
Он втоптан с головою в грязь.
И Той, которую любил, отвержен.
Но вдруг какая-то там мразь
Подходит тихо, взявши палку,
И бьёт с размаху, словно пса.
А рыцарь засмеялся – жалко
Того не видят небеса:
Он заливался жутким смехом,
А эхо разнесло презрительный тот смех.
И молния с небес орехом
Об землю раскололась. Смертный грех
Та мразь узрела в этом лике
И убежала, бросив прут.
А рыцарь закричал, и в этом крике
Хлестал об землю молний кнут.
Меч сломлен, щит разбит, доспехи стлели
От сотен тысяч слёз, стекающих в ночи,
Рассыпались и заржавели.
Века им были палачи.
Бродячие собаки собираются у тела,
Почуяв падаль, вороны кружат над ним.
Лишь, алчно ухмыляясь, тьма смотрела,
Клубясь и извиваясь, словно дым.
Но вот вожак собачьей своры
Сомкнул на шее у него клыки,
Рванул, и потекла сквозь поры,
Мешаясь с грязью, кровь. Беги!!!
И налетела жадным комом
Вся стая. Рыцарь, чуть дыша,
Вдруг захрипел и разразился стоном,
А вместе с ним из горла сорвалась душа.
Лежало тело у дороги,
Лишь ворон сел у мёртвых ног.
И молча наблюдали боги,
Как в упоенье он клевал зрачок.
Всё замерло, в безмолвье наблюдая:
Из века в век, из года в год
Тот странник не познает рая
И ада… Рыцарь Ланцелот.

KnightThrough the dark ages, the knight goes away.
From dust is created, to dust and turned.
Looking at you, he did not see the face,
And now, having issued the last groan,
He collapsed on his knees,
He closed his eyes so as not to open.
And suddenly he realized that he was born without a shadow
And cursed to live alone
And to die, and to be reborn,
And again, in a circle, the wheel:
From century to century, the same knight
With a disfigured face,
A twisted death spasm!
Forgive me, cast out your soul,
Bring her nails to the pole,
And let it burn with fire!
From the eyes oozing blood, like tears,
Flows through the plague on the cheeks.
Compress the hands of the stem of a rose,
To let the thorns pierce them.
He is impersonal, he is defeated,
He is trampled in the mud with his head.
And He who loved, is rejected.
But suddenly some sort of scum
He comes quietly, taking a stick,
And he strikes with a sweep, like a dog.
And the knight laughed - sorry
Togo do not see heaven:
He burst into a terrible laugh,
And the echo smacked that contemptuous laugh.
And lightning from heaven with a nut
The earth is split. Deadly sin
That scum was seen in this face
And ran away, throwing the rod.
And the knight screamed, and in this cry
The whip crackled to the ground with a lightning bolt.
The sword is broken, the shield is broken, the armor is stitched
From the hundreds of thousands of tears that drain into the night,
Crumbled and rusted.
They were executioners for centuries.
Stray dogs gather near the body,
Sensing the carrion, the crows circled above it.
Only, with an avid grin, darkness watched,
Smiling and wriggling like smoke.
But here's the leader of the dog pack
Clipped his fangs around his neck,
Ranul, and flowed through the pores,
Meshing with dirt, blood. Run!
And flew in a greedy lump
The whole flock. The knight, breathing slightly,
Suddenly he sobbed and burst into a groan,
And together with him the soul broke from the throat.
There was a body at the road,
Only the raven sat at the dead feet.
And the gods watched in silence,
As in ecstasy, he pecked the pupil.
Everything froze, watching in silence:
From century to century, from year to year
That wanderer does not know paradise
And hell ... Knight Lancelot.
