ياَ أُمِّي مَا شَكْلُ السَّمَۤاء — وَ مَا الضِّيَاءُ وَ مَا الْقَمَربِجَمَالِهَا تَتَحَدَّثُوْن — وَلاَ أَرَى مِنْهَا اَثَر
هَلْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا ظَلاَمٌ — فِي ظَلاَمٍ مُسْتَمِر
يا أُمِّي مُدِّي لي يَدَيْكِ — عَساَ يُزَايِلُنِي الضَّجَر
اَمْشِي أَخَافُ تَعَثُّراً — وَسَطَ النَّهَارِ أَوِ السَّحَر
لاَ أَهْتَدِي فِي السَّيْرِ إِنّ — طاَلَ الطَّرِيْقُ وَ إِنْ قَصُر
أَمْشِي أُحَاذِرُ أَنْ يُصَادِفَنِي — إِذَا اَخْطُوْ خَطَر
وَ الْأَرْضُ عِنْدِي يَسْتَوِي — مِنْهَا الْبَسَائِطُ وَ الْحُفَر
عُكَّازَتِي هِيَ ناَظِرِي — هل فِي جَمَادٍ مِنْ نَظَر
يَجْرِي الصِّغَارَ وَ يَلْعَبُون — و يَرْتَعُوْنَ وَلاَ ضَرَرْ
وَ أَنَا ضَرِيْرٌ قَاعِدٌ فِي — عُقْرِ دَارِي مُسْتَقِر

Oh my mother what the sky did not look like - and no light and no moonYou speak beautifully - and I do not see any impact from it.
Is this world a darkness - in continuous darkness
Oh my mother, extend your hand to me - may my boredom remove me
I walk afraid of stumbling - the middle of the day or magic
I am not guided in walking. The path is long, and the palace is short.
I walk I warn to come across me - if I step in danger
And the land I hold is flat - minerals and potholes
My crutches are my eyesight - is it in solid
The little ones run and play - and they are terrified and no harm
And I am a blind patient in a stable house.
