Донна Эльвира вносит первую серьезную ноту, когда обращается к Дон-Жуану с мольбой и заклинанием, чтобы он изменил свой образ жизни. Но он легкомысленно парирует ее просьбы. Don Giovanni refuses to change his life, and at that moment the floor of the hall opens and the whole palace disappears in hellish flame.
