Ну а меня король велел повесить.
И все же братьев я не посрамил,
Но воплотил их сил соединенье,
Я, как моряк, стихии бороздил,
И, как игрок, молился о везенье.
Я тоже мог прославиться в другом,
Я тоже мог, иному вняв напеву,
Стать мореходом или игроком...
Но я, увы, влюбился в королеву.
