Текст песни
Ектения́ (также ектенья́, эктения́; поздн. греч. Εκτενής) — распространение) — название ряда молитвенных прошений. Ектении входят в состав большей части богослужений в православной Церкви.Ектению читает, как правило, диакон, стоя при этом на амвоне, и повернувшись лицом к алтарю. Вытянув правую руку, он держит в ней орарь и после каждого прошения осеняет себя крестным знамением. Иногда за неимением штатного диакона на службе ектению может прочитывать иерей. В Греческой Церкви это было так исторически, и лишь только в Русской Церкви было всегда обычным иметь также диакона на службе.Великая ектения содержит молитвенные прошения о всей Церкви и общества. Ектению произносит диакон, после каждого прошения церковный хор поет «Господи, помилуй».

О Святейшем Патриархе Московском и всея руси (имя рек) и Преосвященнейшем (имя рек, правящем епископе), честнем пресвитерстве, во Христе диаконстве, о всем причте и людех, Господу помолимся.
О Богохранимей стране нашей, властех и воинстве ея, Господу помолимся.
О граде сем (или: веси сей, если в монастыре, то: о святей обители сей), всяком граде, стране и верою живущих в них, Господу помолимся.
О благорастворении воздухов, о изобилии плодов земных и временех мирных, Господу помолимся.
О плавающих, путешествующих, недугующих, страждущих, плененных и о спасении их, Господу помолимся.
О избавитися нам от всякия скорби, гнева и нужды, Господу помолимся.
Заступи, спаси, помилуй и сохрани нас, Боже, Твоею благодатию.
Пресвятую, Пречистую, Преблагословенную, Славную Владычицу нашу Богородицу и Приснодеву Марию, со всеми святыми помянувше, сами себе, и друг друга, и весь живот наш Христу Богу предадим.
После чего хор поет: «Тебе, Господи» и священник завершая ектению произносит: «Яко подобает Тебе всякая слава, честь и поклонение, Отцу и Сыну и Святому Духу, ныне и присно и во веки веков».

Then the choir sings: "To you, Lord," and the priest, completing the litany, says: "Like all glory, honor and worship befitting thee, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and forever and ever."
