1. CoroО вечный огонь, о источник любви!
возжги сердца наши и освяти!
Да воскипит в них, их да проникнет небесное пламя!
Жаждем Твоим, о Всевышний, храмом мы быть;
ах! верой да будут угодны Тебе наши души!
2. Recitativo
О Господи! сердца внимают наши
слову истины Твоей:
Ты с человеком быть благоволишь –
и посему Твоим да будет его сердце.
Вселись же милостиво, Господи, в него!
Сие святилище, избранное Тобою,
великую в себе имеет славу!

Благо вам, о, избранные души –
Бог вас в жилище Себе назначает!
Кто большего может блаженства желать?
и кто благодати сочтёт изобилье?
Се, это – от Господа*.

Когда Себе святые избирает скинии Господь,
чтоб обитало в них спасение Его, –
Он изливает благодать Свою на них,
соделовает их святыни местом.
Об освящённом Своем доме
благословенья слово изрекает Бог:

Благословите чудные Всевышнего дела,
благодарите Господа: печётся Он о нас!
Се, благодать могущественно действует Его.

1. CoroO eternal fire, O source of love!
kindle our hearts and sanctify!
Let it boil in them, let the heavenly flame penetrate them!
We thirst for Thy, O Almighty, we are a temple;
Oh! by faith, may our souls be pleasing to You!
2. Recitativo
Oh my God! our hearts listen
to the word of Thy truth:
You are pleased to be with a person -
and therefore his heart be yours.
Mercifully, Lord, indulge in him!
This is the sanctuary chosen by you,
has great glory in itself!
3. Aria
Bless you, oh, chosen souls -
God appoints you in His dwelling!
Who can desire more bliss?
and who will find abundance of grace?
Behold, this is from the Lord *.

When the Lord has chosen the tabernacle for Himself,
that His salvation may dwell in them, -
He pours out His grace on them,
will make their shrines a place.
