– что хотят нас всех порезати
– огни кладут калиновые
– котлы висят кипучие
– ножи висят булатные

Когда дети пали уточка взлетела
К княжескому двору — где беда созрела
Увидела деток холодных как снег
И закричала забыв про весь век
«Кря кря мои деточки кря кря голубки
Я вас растила я вас берегла
А ведьма злая отняла у вас всё
Но я верну вас я спасу вас родные»
Князь услышал крик поймал уточку в руки
Сказал «Стань девой сбрось птичьи муки»
И вновь княгиня — краса и свет
Детей оживили развеяли колдуньи след
Ведьму поймали пустили в поле
Где ветер развеял её злое горе
А семья живёт добро наживает
И сказку эту нам передаёт

The princess couldn't resist, she stepped into the shadow
She entered the water—and immediately the day changed
A blow on the back—and there she was
A little white duck, a bird on the wave
And the witch in her dress glided like a shadow
She met the prince's eyes, looked at him
And began to live in his Like a wife at home

The prince heard the cry and caught the duck in his hands
He said, "Become a maiden, cast off the bird's torment"
And again the princess—beauty and light
The children were revived, the witch's trail was scattered
The witch was caught and released into the field
Where the wind dispelled her evil grief
And the family lives and acquires wealth
And conveys this tale to us
