ГЛАВА 12.1Кто любит наставление, тот любит знание; а кто ненавидит обличение, тот невежда.
2Добрый приобретает благоволение от Господа; а человека коварного Он осудит.
3Не утвердит себя человек беззаконием; корень же праведников неподвижен.
4Добродетельная жена - венец для мужа своего; а позорная - как гниль в костях его.
5Промышления праведных - правда, а замыслы нечестивых - коварство.
6Речи нечестивых - засада для пролития крови, уста же праведных спасают их.
7Коснись нечестивых несчастие - и нет их, а дом праведных стоит.
8Хвалят человека по мере разума его, а развращенный сердцем будет в презрении.
9Лучше простой, но работающий на себя, нежели выдающий себя за знатного, но нуждающийся в хлебе.
10Праведный печется и о жизни скота своего, сердце же нечестивых жестоко.
11Кто возделывает землю свою, тот будет насыщаться хлебом; а кто идет по следам празднолюбцев, тот скудоумен. [Кто находит удовольствие в трате времени за вином, тот в своем доме оставит бесславие.]
12Нечестивый желает уловить в сеть зла; но корень праведных тверд.
13Нечестивый уловляется грехами уст своих; но праведник выйдет из беды. [Смотрящий кротко помилован будет, а встречающийся в воротах стеснит других.]
14От плода уст своих человек насыщается добром, и воздаяние человеку - по делам рук его.
15Путь глупого прямой в его глазах; но кто слушает совета, тот мудр.
16У глупого тотчас же выкажется гнев его, а благоразумный скрывает оскорбление.
17Кто говорит то, что знает, тот говорит правду; а у свидетеля ложного - обман.
18Иной пустослов уязвляет как мечом, а язык мудрых - врачует.
19Уста правдивые вечно пребывают, а лживый язык - только на мгновение.
20Коварство - в сердце злоумышленников, радость - у миротворцев.
21Не приключится праведнику никакого зла, нечестивые же будут преисполнены зол.
22Мерзость пред Господом - уста лживые, а говорящие истину благоугодны Ему.
23Человек рассудительный скрывает знание, а сердце глупых высказывает глупость.
24Рука прилежных будет господствовать, а ленивая будет под данью.
25Тоска на сердце человека подавляет его, а доброе слово развеселяет его.
26Праведник указывает ближнему своему путь, а путь нечестивых вводит их в заблуждение.
27Ленивый не жарит своей дичи; а имущество человека прилежного многоценно.
28На пути правды - жизнь, и на стезе ее нет смерти.

CHAPTER 12.1 He loves instruction, he loves knowledge; but he who hates denunciation is ignorant.
2The good man giveth favor of the Lord; but he will judge a man of wickedness.
3Ne will not establish himself with unrighteousness; the root of the righteous is still.
4 A whistling wife is a crown for her husband; and shameful - like rot in his bones.
The thoughts of the righteous are true, and the designs of the wicked are cunning.
6 The wickedness of the wicked is an ambush to shed blood, but the mouth of the righteous save them.
7Keep in ungodly wickedness - and there are none, but the house of the righteous stands.
8To cheat a man according to his measure of reason, but a depraved heart will be in contempt.
9Better is simpler, but working for himself, rather than betraying himself as a noble, but in need of bread.
10 The righteous also cares for the life of his livestock, but the heart of the wicked is cruel.
11 He who cultivates his land will be satisfied with bread; but whoever follows the footsteps of the celebrants is scanty. [Someone who enjoys spending time drinking wine will leave shame in his house.]
12 The wicked one desires to catch evil in the net; but the root of the righteous is firm.
The unrighteous is caught by the sin of his mouth; but the righteous will come out of trouble. [He that looks shall be mercifully forgiven, but he that encounters in the gate shall restrain the others.]
14 From the fruit of his mouth a man is satisfied with good, and the recompence of a man is according to the works of his hands.
The path of a stupid straight line in his eyes; but he who listens to counsel is wise.
16For a fool immediately his wrath is revealed, and the prudent conceals an insult.
17 Who says what he knows, he speaks the truth; and a deceitful witness has a deceit.
18This vain talker wounds like a sword, but the tongue of the wise teaches.
The righteous remain forever, and the lying tongue is only for a moment.
The craftsmanship is in the heart of the intruders, the joy is with the peacekeepers.
21No evil will happen to the righteous, but the wicked will be filled with evils.
22 The mouth of the lying before the Lord is false, but those who speak the truth are acceptable to Him.
A sensible person hides knowledge, but the heart of fools expresses stupidity.
The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy will be under tribute.
A tie on the heart of a man suppresses him, but a kind word cheers him.
26The gospel shows his neighbor his way, but the way of the wicked deceives them.
27 The slothful does not roast his game; but the property of a diligent man is of great value.
28In the way of righteousness is life, and in her path there is no death.
