ВЕТХИЙ ЗАВЕТПритчи Соломона
ГЛАВА 14.
1Мудрая жена устроит дом свой, а глупая разрушит его своими руками.
2Идущий прямым путем боится Господа; но чьи пути кривы, тот небрежет о Нем.
3В устах глупого - бич гордости; уста же мудрых охраняют их.
4Где нет волов, там ясли пусты; а много прибыли от силы волов.
5Верный свидетель не лжет, а свидетель ложный наговорит много лжи.
6Распутный ищет мудрости, и не находит; а для разумного знание легко.
7Отойди от человека глупого, у которого ты не замечаешь разумных уст.
8Мудрость разумного - знание пути своего, глупость же безрассудных - заблуждение.
9Глупые смеются над грехом, а посреди праведных - благоволение.
10Сердце знает горе души своей, и в радость его не вмешается чужой.
11Дом беззаконных разорится, а жилище праведных процветет.
12Есть пути, которые кажутся человеку прямыми; но конец их - путь к смерти.
13И при смехе иногда болит сердце, и концом радости бывает печаль.
14Человек с развращенным сердцем насытится от путей своих, и добрый - от своих.
15Глупый верит всякому слову, благоразумный же внимателен к путям своим.
16Мудрый боится и удаляется от зла, а глупый раздражителен и самонадеян.
17Вспыльчивый может сделать глупость; но человек, умышленно делающий зло, ненавистен.
18Невежды получают в удел себе глупость, а благоразумные увенчаются знанием.
19Преклонятся злые пред добрыми и нечестивые - у ворот праведника.
20Бедный ненавидим бывает даже близким своим, а у богатого много друзей.
21Кто презирает ближнего своего, тот грешит; а кто милосерд к бедным, тот блажен.
22Не заблуждаются ли умышляющие зло? [не знают милости и верности делающие зло;] но милость и верность у благомыслящих.
23От всякого труда есть прибыль, а от пустословия только ущерб.
24Венец мудрых - богатство их, а глупость невежд глупость и есть. 25Верный свидетель спасает души, а лживый наговорит много лжи.
26В страхе пред Господом - надежда твердая, и сынам Своим Он прибежище.
27Страх Господень - источник жизни, удаляющий от сетей смерти.
28Во множестве народа - величие царя, а при малолюдстве народа беда государю.
29У терпеливого человека много разума, а раздражительный выказывает глупость.
30Кроткое сердце - жизнь для тела, а зависть - гниль для костей.
31Кто теснит бедного, тот хулит Творца его; чтущий же Его благотворит нуждающемуся.
32За зло свое нечестивый будет отвергнут, а праведный и при смерти своей имеет надежду.
33Мудрость почиет в сердце разумного, и среди глупых дает знать о себе.
34Праведность возвышает народ, а беззаконие - бесчестие народов.
35Благоволение царя - к рабу разумному, а гнев его - против того, кто позорит его.

CHAPTER 14.
1 A wise wife will build her house, but a foolish woman will destroy it with her own hands.
2 He who walks in a direct way is afraid of the Lord; but whose ways are crooked, he cares for Him.
3 On the lips of a fool is a scourge of pride; the lips of the wise guard them.
4Where there are no oxen, the manger there is empty; and much came from the power of the oxen.
5 A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness speaks many lies.
6 The lascivious seeks wisdom, and does not find; but for the rational, knowledge is easy.
7 Get away from the foolish man, in whom you do not notice intelligent lips.
8 The wisdom of the rational is knowledge of his own way, but the stupidity of the reckless is error.
9 The foolish laugh at sin, and in the midst of the righteous there is grace.
10 The heart knows the grief of his soul, and a stranger does not intervene in his joy.
11The house of the wicked is ruined, and the home of the righteous flourishes.
12There are ways that seem straight to a person; but their end is the path to death.
13 And with laughter, sometimes the heart hurts, and sorrow is the end of joy.
14 A man with a corrupt heart will be filled from his ways, and a good man from his own.
15 The fool believes in every word, but the prudent is attentive to his ways.
16 The wise is afraid and moves away from evil, but the fool is irritable and presumptuous.
17 A quick-tempered person can do stupid things; but a person who deliberately does evil is hated.
18The ignoramuses receive foolishness for themselves, and the prudent will be crowned with knowledge.
19The evil will bow before the good and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20 A poor man is even hated by his close ones, and a rich man has many friends.
21 Whoever despises his neighbor sins; but he who is merciful to the poor is blessed.
22Do not those who deliberate evil err? [those who do evil do not know mercy and fidelity;] but mercy and fidelity are among the benefactors.
23From all labor there is profit, and from idle talk only damage.
24The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the stupidity of the ignorant is stupidity. 25The faithful witness saves souls, and the deceitful one speaks many lies.
26In fear of the Lord, there is strong hope, and he will take refuge for his sons.
27 The fear of the Lord is the source of life, moving away from the nets of death.
28In the multitude of people - the greatness of the king, and with the lack of population of the people, the emperor is in trouble.
29 A patient person has a lot of reason, and an irritable person shows stupidity.
30 A meek heart is life for the body, and envy is rot for bones.
31 Whoever oppresses the poor, he blasphems his Creator; he who honors His benevolence to the needy.
32For his evil, the wicked will be rejected, but the righteous, even at his death, have hope.
33Wisdom rests in the heart of the rational, and among fools it makes itself known.
34 Righteousness exalts the people, and lawlessness - the dishonor of the people.
35The king’s good will is for the rational slave, and his anger is against him who dishonors him.
