(Книга Бытие 3)Сатана принял образ змея и проник в Едем. До грехопадения змей представлял собой прекрасное крылатое создание. Когда он летел над землей, то сиял, как очищенное золото. Он не передвигался по земле, а летал по воздуху и питался, как и человек, плодами деревьев. Сатана вошел в змея, разместился на дереве познания добра и зла и стал не спеша есть его плоды.
Случилось так, что Ева впервые нечаянно отдалилась от своего мужа, когда они трудились в саду. Когда она это заметила, то смутно почувствовала опасность, но тут же успокоила себя мыслью о том, что ей ничего не угрожает, даже если мужа нет рядом. Ева подумала, что она достаточно умна и сильна, чтобы различить зло и противостоять ему при встрече. Она забыла о предостережении ангелов и не заметила, как оказалась перед запретным деревом. Рассматривая его плоды со смешанным чувством любопытства и восхищения, Ева увидела, что они прекрасны, и спросила себя, почему Бог так безусловно и определенно запретил не только есть их, но даже прикасаться к ним. Лучшего момента для сатаны не могло быть. Как бы читая ее мысли, он обратился к Еве: "Подлинно ли сказал Бог: не ешьте ни от какого дерева в раю?" Но все это не более чем сомнительное предположение и жалкая ложь. Будучи не в состоянии понять то, что Бог ясно и доступно открыл, пренебрегая Его определенными повелениями и стремясь обрести мудрость, которая не зависела бы от Бога, люди зачастую стремятся узнать то, что Бог хочет скрыть от простых смертных. Окрыленные своими собственными идеями развития, очарованные своей пустой философией, они на самом деле находятся в кромешной тьме, ощупью пробираясь к подлинному знанию. Eva thought that she was smart enough and strong enough to distinguish between evil and resist him at a meeting. She forgot about the warning of the angels and did not notice how she was in front of the forbidden tree. Considering its fruits with a mixed sense of curiosity and admiration, Eve saw that they are beautiful, and asked herself why God so definitely and definitely forbade not only to eat them, but even to touch them. The curiosity of Eve increased. Instead of immediately running away from the clearing, she, enchanted, listened to what the serpent was saying. It did not even occur to her that the fallen enemy was in front of her in the form of a snake, using it as an intermediary. Satan himself spoke to her, and not a snake. Eve was fascinated and flattered by the words of the snake, they turned her head. If she met an impressive personality, like angels, or at least something resembling them, she would prick up her ears. But this strange voice did not make her go back to her husband to ask him why some stranger was so free to address her. Instead, Eve came into dispute with the serpent and, answering his question, said: "We can eat fruits from the trees, only the fruit of the tree, which among the heaven, God said, do not eat them and do not touch them, so that you do not die." . Then the serpent answered her: "No, you will not die; But God knows that on the day you eat them, your eyes will open, and you will be like gods who know good and evil. "
Satan tried to inspire Eve with the thought that by eating the fruit of the forbidden tree, they will acquire new, more perfect and all-encompassing knowledge in comparison with what they have. This is one of the favorite techniques of Satan, which he has always used successfully since his fall, to arouse in the human mind the curiosity and intrusive desire to penetrate the mysteries of the Almighty God, not being satisfied with what He revealed, and neglecting His commands. Seducing people not to listen to God's commands, Satan tries to inspire them with the idea that, by transgressing these commands, they will be in the hitherto uncharted field of knowledge. But all this is nothing more than a doubtful assumption and a miserable lie. Not being able to understand what God revealed clearly and openly, neglecting His specific commands and seeking wisdom that does not depend on God, people often seek to know what God wants to hide from mere mortals. Inspired by their own ideas of development, fascinated by their empty philosophy, they are in fact in pitch darkness, groping their way to the true knowledge. They learn forever and are never able to achieve the knowledge of the truth.
God did not want this sinless couple to know what evil is. He in abundance gave them all the good, hiding the evil.
