Началась подготовка к монтажу памятника Алексею Бересту в Ростове. Пятиметровый монумент хотят поставить в сквере 353ей Стрелковой Дивизии на Сельмаше. Рабочие уже размечают территорию. Бронзовый Берест будет стоять в форме советского солдата и со знаменем победы в руках – точной копией того самого, которое герой водрузил на крышу рейхстага в мае 45-го.(слушайте в подкасте)
Автор скульптуры - Анатолий Скнарин, создатель знаменитой Тачанки на въезде в Ростов и памятника Стачке 1902 года. По словам ростовчанина, статуя почти готова. В этом убедился и наш патрульный Даниил Калинин – он посетил мастерскую Скнарина.
"Мастерская знаменитого скульптора расположена на первом этажа обычной хрущевки на Ленина. Повсюду гипсовые макеты творений мэтра. А в центре комнаты - трехметровая глиняная статуя Береста. Отливать бронзовый вариант начнут через несколько дней на заводе при РГСУ. Процесс крайне сложный и трудоемкий, - объяснил мне Анатолий Скнарин.

На гипсовом Бересте - гимнастёрка и плащ-палатка. В левой руке - Знамя Победы, в правой - пистолет-пулемет Шапошникова. Разговоры о памятнике герою войны ведутся со времен Советского Союза, напоминает Скнарин.

Большую часть денег выделил на памятник депутат Госдумы от КПРФ Николай Коломейцев. Остальные деньги собирали всем миром."
Добавим, что памятник должны открыть в мае ко Дню Победы.
