Слава и величие Христа словно парализовали сатану. Некогда осеняющий херувим вспоминает, откуда он был низвергнут. Светлый серафим, "сын зари", - как он изменился! Как он пал!Дьявол осознает, что из-за своевольного восстания он лишился возможности пребывать на небе. Он старательно упражнял свои способности в разнообразной борьбе против Бога, поэтому чистота, мир и царящая на небе гармония не принесут ему ничего, кроме невыразимой муки. Он уже не возмущается, видя милосердие и справедливость Божью. Обвинение, которое он бросил Иегове, обратилось полностью против него самого. И теперь падший херувим склоняет голову, признавая справедливость вынесенного ему приговора.
Все вопросы, истины и заблуждения, бывшие предметом затянувшейся борьбы, теперь становятся ясными. Пред всей Вселенной представлена великая жертва, принесенная Отцом и Сыном ради человека. Наступил час, когда Христос занимает принадлежащее Ему по праву положение. Он прославлен превыше всех начальств, властей и всякого имени.
Однако сущность дьявола неизменна, хотя он и вынужден был признать справедливость Бога и верховную власть Христа. Дух возмущения и противления, подобно могучему потоку, снова овладевает им. Охваченный ненавистью, он решает не сдаваться в великой борьбе. Настал момент его последней отчаянной схватки с Царем Небесным. Он бросается в гущу своих подданных, стараясь воодушевить их своей яростью и убедить немедленно вступить в бой. Однако из всех несметных миллионов, вовлеченных им в восстание, никто больше не признает его власти. Сатанинскому владычеству пришел конец. Нечестивые исполнены такой же ненависти к Богу, что и он, но они понимают свою обреченность, зная, что превозмочь Иегову они не в силах. Обуреваемые гневом против сатаны и его сообщников, с яростью демонов люди обращаются против них, и начинается грандиозная битва.
Огонь с неба
Тогда исполняются слова пророка: "Ибо гнев Господа на все народы, и ярость Его на все воинство их. Он предал их заклятию, отдал их на заклание" (Ис. 34:2). "Дождем прольет Он на нечестивых горящие угли, огонь и серу; и палящий ветер - их доля из чаши" (Пс. 10:6). Огонь падает с неба от Бога. Земля разверзается, изо всех бездн вырывается всепоглощающее пламя. Даже скалы - и те горят. Пришел день, "пылающий как печь" (Мал. 4:1). Земля и все, наполняющее ее, плавятся от пылающего огня (см. 2 Петр. 3:10). Особый огонь - огонь Тофета - приготовлен для царя грешников, предводителя восстания. Поэтому погребальный костер, названный в пророчестве Исаии Тофетом, глубок и широк; "дуновение Господа, как поток серы, зажжет его" (Ис. 30:33). Вся поверхность земли кажется единой расплавленной массой, огромным кипящим огненным озером. Наступил день суда и гибели для нечестивых, "день мщения у Господа, год возмездия за Сион" (Ис. 34:8).
Нечестивые получают свое возмездие на земле. Они, "как солома, и попалит их грядущий день, говорит Господь Саваоф" (Мал. 4:1). Одни уничтожаются мгновенно, другие будут мучиться много дней. Все наказаны сообразно своим делам. Грехи праведных возложены на сатану, родоначальника греха, который понесет наказание за все грехи, к которым он подстрекал народ Божий, а не только за свое противление. Он будет наказан гораздо строже искушенных им. После того, как нечестивые сгорят, он все еще будет жить и страдать. В очищающем огне окончательно уничтожатся и корень, и ветви (сатана - корень, а его последователи - ветви). Правосудие Божье удовлетворено. Искупленные и все небесное воинство восклицают громким голосом: "Аминь!"
Когда землю охватит истребляющий огонь, праведные будут находиться в полной безопасности в Святом Граде. Над восставшими в первое воскресение "смерть вторая не имеет власти" (Откр. 20:6). Если для нечестивых Бог есть огонь поедающий, то для Своего народа Он есть "солнце и щит" (Пс. 83:12).

The glory and greatness of Christ seemed to paralyze Satan. The once autumn Kheruvim recalls where he was cast out. Bright Seraphim, "son of dawn" - how he has changed! How he fell!The devil realizes that because of a handy uprising, he lost the opportunity to stay in the sky. He carefully exercised his abilities in a diverse struggle against God, therefore purity, peace and harmony reigning in the sky will not bring him anything but inexpressible flour. He is no longer indignant, seeing the mercy and justice of God. The accusation that he abandoned Jehovah turned completely against himself. And now the fallen Kheruvim bows his head, recognizing the justice of the sentence issued to him.
All issues, truths and errors that were a protracted struggle, are now becoming clear. Before the entire universe, a great sacrifice is presented, brought by the Father and the Son for the sake of man. The hour has come when Christ occupies a right position belonging to Him. It is glorified above all the authorities, authorities and all behavior.
However, the essence of the devil is unchanged, although he was forced to recognize the justice of God and the supreme power of Christ. The spirit of indignation and opposition, like a powerful stream, again masters it. Covering in hatred, he decides not to give up in a great struggle. The moment of his last desperate battle with the king of heaven came. He rushes into the thick of his subjects, trying to inspire them with his fury and convince them to immediately join the battle. However, of all the imperceptible millions involved in the uprising, no one else recognizes his power. Satanic rule came to an end. The wicked are fulfilled by the same hatred of God as He, but they understand their doom, knowing that they are not able to overcome Jehovah. Overwhelmed by anger against Satan and his accomplices, with the fury of demons, people turn against them, and a grand battle begins.
Fire from the sky
Then the words of the Prophet are executed: “For the anger of the Lord for all nations, and His rage for all their army. He betrayed them to the spell, gave them to the slaughter” (Isa. 34: 2). “He will shed with rain on the wicked burning coals, fire and sulfur; and the scorching wind is their share of the bowl” (Psalm 10: 6). Fire falls from the sky from God. The earth is opening, an all -consuming flame breaks out of all the abyss. Even rocks - and they are burning. The day came, "burning like a stove" (Mal. 4: 1). The earth and everything that fills it is melting from the glowing fire (see 2 Peter 3:10). A special fire - the fire of the Thofet - is prepared for the king of sinners, the leader of the uprising. Therefore, the funeral bonfire, named in the prophecy of Isaiah with Thofet, is deep and wide; "The blow of the Lord, like a stream of sulfur, will light him" (Isa. 30:33). The entire surface of the Earth seems to be a single molten mass, a huge boiling fire lake. The day of the court and death came for the wicked, "the day of revenge with the Lord, the year of retaliation for Zion" (Isa. 34: 8).
The wicked receive their retribution on Earth. They, "like straw, and their coming day will come in, says the Lord Savaof" (Mal. 4: 1). Some are destroyed instantly, others will suffer for many days. Everyone is punished according to their affairs. The sins of the righteous are assigned to Satan, the ancestor of sin, who will be punished for all the sins to which he incited the people of God, and not just for his opposition. He will be punished much more strictly sophisticated by him. After the wicked is burned, he will still live and suffer. In the purifying fire, both the root and the branches (Satan are the root, and its followers are branches will finally be destroyed. The justice of God is satisfied. The redeemed and all heavenly army exclaim in a loud voice: "Amen!"
When the land covers the destructive fire, the righteous will be in full security in the holy city. Above the rebels on the first resurrection, "The second death does not have power" (Rev. 20: 6). If for the wicked God is the eater fire, then for his people he is a "sun and shield" (Psalm 83:12).
